The project at West Carclaze involves the construction of 1500 homes with associated school, doctors surgery, cafes and amenities transforming the historical China Clay land into a new garden village community. Engaged from the very outset of the project Morcom have been offering assistance to Eco-Bos in both financial and operational activities seeking practical solutions to overcome the complexities of local region.
Initially Morcom were contracted to undertake the Bulk Earthworks to the 1st phase of the scheme excavating approximately 90,000m3 of existing ground for crushing and treatment prior to filling. Our involved has subsequently developed and evolved and Morcom are now responsible for the delivery of only the bulk earthworks but the groundworks to Phases B, C & D which includes Roads & Drainage, Substructures, Retaining Structures and Service Infrastructure works to a combined value exceeding £12m.
Nansledan Western Arm
Duchy of Cornwall
The project near Newquay involves the construction of a kilometre of adoptable Section 38 & 278 roads, associated drainage, services provision & street lighting all in preparation for future housing estates as part of the wider Nansledan Development. Employed as Principle Contractor direct with the Duchy of Cornwall the works are currently underway and programmed for completion in April 22 at a value in excess of £3.5m.

Hayle North Quay
Sennybridge Developments
Employed direct with Sennybridge Ltd the scheme comprises the initial blocks in a significant project to redevelop Hayle Harbour’s North Quay and surrounding area. The first phase comprised of 80 luxury residential apartments/Townhouses with underground basement parking.
Being situated right on the North Quay, the basements have been impacted by tidal movement. We have been contracted to carry out the bulk earthworks, piling, groundworks and all civils for the construction of the three basements. The value of works completed by Morcom Construction over the last 12 months on this scheme exceeding £5m, with further phases about to commence.
